These photos were taken of the set and from the second series of “Dancing Stars” shown on Bulgarian National Television. The set was designed by Tri K-TV of Sofia and the series is produced by Seven Eights. The fabrics and products J&C Joel used were: silver slit drapes, natural cabaret velour, cream PVC screen (0.5 gain), black Joelastic and grey molton.

J&C Joel were asked to create a new front of house curtain to complement the restoration work recently completed at the Plaza Super Cinema & Variety Theatre Stockport. The project brief was to restore the Plaza to how it looked in the 1932 when it was originally opened; all that was to go off was a black and white photo from 1932. The pictures showed the intricate appliqué work designed and carried out by J&C Joel there are approx. 800 separate pieces including flowers, grass, stalks and butterflies, the drapes are made from a Special Gold Dye NDFR Stage Satin.

J&C Joel have recently completed work at Brooksbank School in Elland. The job was for a versatile tracking system that would allow several uses including standard theatre, award presentation evenings (where smaller stage was required), dinner hall (where all the curtains have to be out of the way), exams, open days and drama lessons.

J&C Joel Middle East manufactured the Sharkstooth Gauze for the stand at the GITEX exhibition in Dubai at the Trade Centre, the stand is in the Zabeel Hall, it was for Du, which is one of the UAE cellular phone networks.

Working with Oxford Sound Ltd, J&C Joel have completed the refurbishment of the mechanical systems at the ‘National Theatre Studio'.

Working with Oxford Sound, J&C Joel have completed the supply and installation of a multi truss and chain hoist system at the CCAN complex in Nottingham. The project was further enhanced by the installation of a motorised projection screen, power/control cable tray, masking tracks and curtains.

Working with Stage Lighting Centre J&C Joel carried out the improvements to the stage equipment at the newly refurbished Theatre Royal in Waterford Ireland. J&C Joel upgraded the existing hemp sets, installed four new manually operated side masking winches and upgraded the existing variable speed pilewind winch units to be more user friendly.

These shapes were manufactured for ‘the 99 names of Allah’ exhibition in the Bahrain City Centre Mall in Manama, it was a Ramadan exhibition in for the ‘Holy Month Of Ramadan’ which is the 9th month of the Islamic year.

They were made from Ultra Stretch which covers poly carbonate rods, they were rigged from the ceiling of the mall by steal cable, the original design for the shapes is from Transformit in the USA.

J&C Joel manufactured and installed bespoke rigging equipment for the Britten Studio in the renowned Snape Maltings complex in Suffolk.

Working in conjunction with system design and installation specialists Oxford Sound and Media, J&C Joel installed a number of acoustic motorised roller banners, wool see drapes and a complete rigging system.

J&C Joel were required to install a multi-use trussing system for the FACT centre in Liverpool in order to accommodate a specialist moving sculpture for the Biennial Contemporary Arts Festival. The truss system will be used to enable the centre to hang a variety of sculptures in the main atrium. It is one of the largest moving gallery support systems in the country.
